Kaipara Ultrasound under the Covid-19 Protection Framework – RED
At Red, we need to take action to protect our vulnerable communities and our health system from Covid-19
Kaipara Ultrasound is open and we are scanning all patients at both our branches under Traffic Light settings ‘Red’ and ‘Orange’.
As a essential healthcare provider, we are taking all necessary steps to protect the health and well-being of our staff and patients:
- All our staff are fully vaccinated
- Our staff will be wearing masks at all times
- We encourage use of QR codes
- We encourage frequent hand washing and sanitising
- Regular sanitising of high touch surfaces
- All patients will be asked symptom questionnaire on arrival
- Longer appointment times to ensure adequate cleaning between patients
- We are ensuring we are keeping up to date and following all NZ MoH guidelines
To help us keep you and our staff members safe we are operating as follows:
IF YOU ARE VACCINATED
- Please scan inour QR code to allow contact tracing as guided by the Ministry of Health.
- You must wear a mask.
- You will be required to fill in a Covid questionnaireon arrival.

IF YOU ARE UNVACCINATED
- We are scanning unvaccinated patients but the process differs slightly to help keep you safe.
- You must call ahead to bookyour appointment and to let us know your vaccination status so that we can allow extra time for your appointment (this extra time allows us to don additional PPE and to do additional cleaning).
- Please scan inour QR code to allow contact tracing as guided by the Ministry of Health.

- You will be required to fill in a Covid questionnaireor arrival.
- After you have filled in the paperwork you may be asked to wait in your car or outside until your sonographer is ready for you.
